CHELSEA GOLD was published to celebrate the millennium year of 2000 and featured a wide selection of the Chelsea Gold Medal Gardens of the 1990s with pictures taken by the top garden photographers in the UK. It was first published in hardback in a number of countries, then in paperback by Cassell.
The Royal Horticultural Society commissioned John to write, 'Small Gardens' as part of their 'RHS Practical Guides' services. It has been reprinted a number of times.
